New Kensington, PA – Bacharach, Inc., a leading manufacturer of refrigerant gas detection and combustion analyzers is attending the IIAR, International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration Conference in San Antonio, TX from Monday, February 27 – Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in booth 600.

The IIAR conference and exposition is one of the largest dedicated to the ammonia and natural refrigeration industry. Attendees learn and experience technical innovations showcasing new products. Bacharach believes strongly in engaging with other industry professionals and in sharing best practices and concepts within the ammonia and refrigerant gas field. Rick Wanek, Marketing Director for Bacharach, Inc. says, “Detecting ammonia leaks is of upmost importance when used in the refrigeration process. It’s a commonly manufactured, inorganic chemical, a compound of nitrogen and hydrogen. Ammonia is colorless, with a pungent smell, is explosive and is highly toxic. OSHA specifies exposure limits as low as 25ppm, making ammonia a gas which requires constant monitoring.”

Bacharach offers its own proprietary Infrared NDIR sensor, as well as a variety of gas sensors, including semiconductor, electrochemical or catalytic within its product range for detecting ammonia leaks. These include remote gas sensors, and fixed gas detectors, which can be used on a stand-alone basis or integrated into building management control systems, and a range of integrated area monitors.

During this year’s conference, Bacharach will feature a range of industrial refrigeration gas detection solutions including point detectors and a Multi Zone fixed monitor, ideal for detecting levels as low as 1 ppm for refrigerant leaks and 25ppm ammonia leaks. Bacharach personnel will be available in the booth to discuss standards regarding refrigeration monitoring and other ideal solutions to protect personnel, communities and plants from the hazards of undetected ammonia leaks.

Bacharach’s mission for their customers is to make a Measurable Difference for their business everyday through new ideas and technologies. Additional information can be found at Bacharach’s website or on Twitter and LinkedIn.
